Terms of Service
Last updated: August 24, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By requesting or receiving services from LUCKEY LOCK, operating as Luckey Lock ("the Company"), or by using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
The Company provides locksmith services, including automotive, residential, commercial, and emergency lock and key work. This covers lockout entry, key cutting, key replacement and programming, rekeying, lock installation, repair and replacement, master key systems, safes, and related security hardware.
The specific services offered may change from time to time without notice, and some work may not be possible on certain hardware or vehicles.
3. Proof of Entitlement
Before opening, rekeying, or replacing a lock, the Company requires proof that you are entitled to access the property or vehicle. This normally means government-issued identification together with a document connecting you to the address or the vehicle, such as a licence, lease, registration, insurance document, or addressed mail.
The Company reserves the right to refuse or stop work where entitlement cannot be established to its satisfaction. A call-out charge may still apply where a locksmith has attended.
4. Quotes, Fees, and Payment
The Company gives a quote before work begins. Where what is found on site differs materially from what was described when the job was booked, the Company will state the revised price before proceeding, and you may decline without being charged for work not performed.
Quoted prices depend on the hardware involved, the parts required, the time of day, and the location of the job.
Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Method of Entry and Possible Damage
The Company uses the least destructive method that the situation allows. Some locks, including certain high-security, damaged, or seized mechanisms, cannot be opened non-destructively. Where drilling or replacement is the only viable route, the Company will explain this and obtain your agreement before proceeding.
Certain conditions outside the Company’s control, including pre-existing wear, prior damage, previous unqualified work, frozen or misaligned doors, and aftermarket vehicle security systems, can affect the outcome of a job. The Company is not responsible for pre-existing faults or for damage arising from such conditions.
6. Cancellation and Call-Outs
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booked appointment, please tell us as early as you can.
Where a locksmith has already been dispatched or has arrived, a call-out charge may apply even if the work is not carried out.
7. Warranty and Limitation of Liability
Workmanship and any parts supplied are covered as stated at the time of service. Warranty does not cover misuse, further damage caused by another party, normal wear, or hardware supplied by the customer.
To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from the services, and its total liability is limited to the amount paid for the work in question.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection legislation.
8. Keys, Codes, and Security Information
Key codes, key numbers, master key charts, and access credentials created or recorded during a job are confidential and are released only to you or to a person you authorize, or where the Company is legally required to disclose them.
You are responsible for the security of keys, codes, and credentials once they are handed over to you.
9. Credentials
Alberta certifies locksmiths as journeypersons under the Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship Education Act. The credentials held by the Company’s owner are published on this website, and you are entitled to ask about them before work begins.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Company’s services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is available on this website.
11. Website Content
Information on this website is provided for general guidance. It is not security advice for a specific property, and no lock, product, or method is described here as suitable for every situation.
12. Modifications to Terms
The Company may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this website, and the terms in force when your work is carried out are the ones that apply to it.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
